Leominster fielded a team that had a good mixture of youth and experience and started the game the stronger of the two teams, actually forcing the Ross defence into doing some defending. Eventually Ross started to take control of the game by winning the battle in the midfield thanks to hard graft and determination from Tom Walton and Jamie Caulfield. Ross eventually took the lead 12 minutes into the first half and the league's top scorer Adrian Williams got the goal notching up his 15th goal of the season.
Within minutes Ross were 2 -0 up as Williams banged in his 16th goal of the season. Ross went on to push home their advantage with Kristian Franklin slapping in his third goal in three games. At half time Ross went in 4 – 0 in front as Jamie Caulfield added a cheeky goal on the stroke of half time popping up at the back post to drive the ball home. After half time it was the Tom Walton show as he got on the score sheet with a second half hat trick.
The South Herefordshire Motorcarvans Man of the match was awarded to Andy Ridgway who has now played 210 minutes of league Hockey without conceding a goal
