Total road closures planned for the A40, east of the Wilton roundabout, have been cancelled, although some night-time lane closures of the dual carriageway in Ross-on-Wye will take place next month.

The A40 eastbound and westbound approaches to Wilton Roundabout will be closed between 8pm and 6am from November 21st to 24th and from November 27th to 28th.

The closure will be in place to allow for the installation of a pedestrian controlled Toucan crossing on the A40 east of the roundabout.

Kier, who are carrying out the work on behalf of Highways England, will also be updating lighting columns and constructing a shared footway and cycle path.

Access to businesses and residential properties will be maintained at all times and permits will be issued.

Motorists should use the agreed signed diversions route which have been designed with safety in mind.

Kier have apologised for any disruption or inconvenience caused by the work.
