MAdam, the Gresleys Christmas lights switch-on took place on Sunday, December 2nd, raising a fantastic amount of £1,700, which will be equally divided between Cheltenham General Hospital, Air Ambulance and Acorns Children's Hospice.
We would like to thank Ross Farm Machinery, Morrisons, Glaxosmithkline, Hallmark, Colemans and The Oddfellows for their very generous donations and of course residents, family and friends, for turning out on such a cold, wet evening to support us.
On the morning of the switch-on, we received some very sad news that one of our longest standing residents, Mr John Lewis, had passed away during the night. Mr Lewis and his late wife Barbara were always very involved within the Gresleys community and were very much a part of the first switch-on in 2006. We would like to send our deepest sympathy to Mr Lewis' family at this very sad time.
T Allen, The Gresleys, Ross
