The Madison Shelbie Trust was delighted to attend a tour of the Bulmers site in Hereford on Thursday, January 11th and to be part of a presentation to local charities organised by Heineken as part of their ‘Brewing Good Community Fund’.
The trust had been nominated to receive this by Karen Randall, a dear friend of the charity and also a bereaved Mum who they met met when Karen’s daughter was sadly stillborn. Karen is an avid supporter of the charity and is also an employee at Bulmers.
During the visit the groups were hosted by Richard Hill from Heineken and Karen who took them on an extremely interesting and enjoyable tour of their site.
Later, during a delicious buffet lunch, they met Alexander Brinkerink, the Head of Site and other employees who had nominated the other charities. This was a great opportunity to meet with many other worthy charities, those of whom were also nominated for the fund and that provide amazing services in the area.
The charities that will benefit are: The Madison Shelbie Trust - Bereavement Support Services, Salters Hill, MS Therapy Centre, St Peters Winter Shelter, Hereford Harriers, Hereford Alzheimer’s Society, Hereford Air Ambulance, St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford Growing Point, Aspire Hereford, Hereford Community Farm, Affinity Trust Hereford, Labyrinth in Hereford
The Madison Shelbie Trust extend their thanks once again to Karen for nominating them and of course Bulmers and Heineken for the funding. They are looking forward to putting it to good use and continuing the valuable support they provide throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Without the financial support they would not be able to exist.
