Ross Juniors Under 9s finished off an impressive first season in the Herefordshire League with some of their best performances at the Mitcheldean six a side Tournament on Saturday July 2nd.
They played five group games, winning four and drawing once to top a very competitive group. Along the way they beat strong sides such as Lads Club, Monmouth and Nunnery Wood FC from Worcester, whose boys all attend Academy centres for teams such as Aston Villa.
Ross Juniors were very unlucky to just miss out on winners medals as Highnam FC edged a thrilling final 1-0.
All of the boys played for each other as a team, showing great commitment and footballing skill which will stand them in good stead for the future.
The manager and coaches of Ross Juniors would also like to thank them for their impeccable behaviour at the tournament on Saturday, which helped create a really nice atmosphere. The boys were a great example for the club. Thanks to Jake, Harry, Will, James, TJ, Tom P, Toby, Finn, Rob and Lewis.
