Expensive new advertising boards that were placed around the Ross Rugby Club pitch at Greytree have already suffered at the hands of vandals.

Rugby Club supporter Andrew Meek was horrified when he discovered the damage last week. He said: "Many local businesses will be disappointed to learn that their advertising boards which were placed around Ross Rugby's new pitch at Greytree, at considerable expense, have been mindlessly trashed by vandals. About 15 boards have been kicked in or simply snapped in half."

He told The Ross Gazette that the pitch is very close to houses and it is possible that someone saw the damage being done. He appeals to anyone who saw it to contact the police. To read his letter and see a picture of the damage see page 9 of The Ross Gazette 24/2/10.
