Watch out for the searchlights scanning the skies above Ross when movie glitz and glamour comes to town for the VIP Red Carpet Premiere of the human rights documentary Vegas2Venice on the evening of Friday, April 12th at the Phoenix Theatre.
Last summer Joe Griffiths and Jamie Hay, from Ross embarked on an adventure – an amazing 3,000 mile journey across Europe to meet with people affected by HIV/AIDS. They hoped to discover what difference HIV treatment is making to people's lives and came back with an amazing story that they want to share.
"AIDS is a subject that has largely disappeared off the radar of the people's consciousness within the UK, particularly among young people, and yet it is still a very important and relevant issue," said Jamie Hay, "Vegas 2 Venice is 'a positive HIV story'."
The Vegas2Venice team, supported by local business owners Alison and Phil Clarke of Calendar Lady Promotions, aim to raise funds and awareness for local charity Hope Support Services and Arms Around the Child. They invite everyone to join them for an eye-opening evening's entertainment.
Tickets are just £10 with the two charities benefiting from 100% of the ticket price.
