Fawley Court Gardens, near Ross-on-Wye, one of the most popular examples of a beautiful English country garden, in this area, will be open to the public, in aid of the local Samaritans branch on Sunday, June 19th from 2pm-5.30pm.
The gardens, overlooking beautiful parkland, contain a large number of exquisite borders of mixed flowers and roses, and superb displays of delphiniums. Following the mild winter and wet spring the garden has produced a stunning floral display this year and the water gardens provide a delightful environment to relax in.
New points of interest this year will include a newly developed kitchen garden and a wild meadows feature which is being constructed.
As this event is close to the date of HM The Queen’s 90th birthday, there will be a celebration tea party during the afternoon. Visitors and helpers are invited to dress for the occasion with some prizes for the most imaginative turn-outs.
There will also be a select number of stalls selling imaginative cards for different occasions and a wide range of plants. There will also be a draw with great prizes so what better way to spend a summer afternoon celebrating the Queen’s birthday or Father’s Day, than to enjoy these beautiful gardens with the backdrop of Fawley Court. And at the same time you can support the Samaritans providing help to local people facing an emotional crisis, some of whom are suicidal.
