The Attend Flame, an Olympic style torch, is travelling the length and breadth of the country to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the volunteering charity, Attend, which represents all the different Leagues of Friends.

Members of the Ross Community Hospital League of Friends welcomed the Attend Jubilee Relay Flame at the Hospital on Thursday, September 10th.

The following day the flame was taken by vintage Rolls-Royce to its next destination, Stourbridge.

The Flame has travelled from the Northern-most group on the Western Isles of Scotland, down the country, being passed from member group to member group. So far, the Flame has been carried by a Marathon Runner, accompanied by a marching Bagpipe band, been on board a ferry and is due to arrive in the London head office on a Vintage Motorbike, in time for the 60th Birthday Bash/AGM in October.
