John Kyrle High School pupil, Charlie Robinson, is dreaming of being crowned Miss Teen Queen UK and needs a little help from her friends if she is to break into the highly competitive world of modelling and win the chance to represent the UK in an international pageant.
Charlie, aged 16 and her mum, Tina, found out about the Teen Queen competition when they visited the Clothes Show a couple of years ago but did not think of entering until Tina was surfing the web and logged onto the Clothes Show website earlier this year.
She saw an appeal for models and told Charlie. In order to enter the competition they travelled to London to a photographer's studio where a set of fabulous pictures of Charlie were taken.
Although they were not under any obligation the pictures were so fabulous Tina had to buy them for Charlie's portfolio.
Charlie is contestant 21 on the http://www.teenqueenuk.com">www.teenqueenuk.com website and anyone who would like to see a winner from Ross can text their votes to Charlie Robinson 84205. Texts cost 60p plus the standard network charge.
Charlie's mum hopes Ross residents will rally behind the JKHS pupil. "We really hope lots of people will text and vote for Charlie," she said.
Voting started on December 1st and continues until January 1st. The top three girls will then go forward to the live finals of the competition in July 2009.
