Work to install barriers at Red Meadow car park will begin as soon as the Council’s solicitors have signed the licence.
The Town Clerk told members of Ross Town Council that everything seems to be in order but they need the solicitors’ agreement.
Councillor Hannah Lerego said she was pleased to be able to report back to residents who frequently ask for updates. The barrier was called for by members of the public to deter travellers from setting up camp in the car park.
In July, the Ross Gazette reported that Ross Town Council had agreed to pay up to £3,500 towards cost of installing barriers for the Red Meadow car park.
Many local residents, had urged the Town Councillors to foot the whole bill, even though the car park belongs to Herefordshire Council.
