The residents of Wallace Court are delighted to announce that the wonderful sum of £645 was raised during a Macmillan Coffee Morning held on Tuesday, September 22.

The money raised will help support the invaluable work of Macmillan Cancer Support, providing assistance and support to people affected by cancer and their families.

The coffee morning was met with an outstanding turnout and was not only a fantastic opportunity for residents, friends and members of the local community to come together, but also a wonderful demonstration of generosity and community spirit that exists locally.

We would like to recognise the generous support received from a number of local businesses, traders and individuals, who donated an array of wonderful raffle prizes and contributions. These included Lizzy Bunting, Four interiors, Tudor Sweets, Hank’s Butchers, Architectural Store, At Broad Street, Lorraine’s Hair, Field Fayre, Truffles, Baobab Tree, hair perfection, Gwalia, Loraine’s hairdresser, Yat Pottery, Wye do I need it, Lelana Jewellery, Boutique at no2, Seven seas fish and chips, Four Interiors and Perfect Measures along with many additional donations generously provided by residents and friends.

The success of the event would not have been possible without the time, effort and enthusiasm of those who helped bring everything together. Special recognition goes to Renee Field and Mike & Rose Brookes, who worked hard to contact and gather support from our generous local traders, as well as Mae Rozenski, who helped organise and coordinate the coffee morning.

It was a truly lovely morning filled with community spirit, friendship, laughter and generosity, and the residents of Wallace Court are incredibly proud of what has been achieved collectively in support of such an important cause.

The generosity shown by residents, local businesses and the wider community will help Macmillan continue its vital work supporting those affected by cancer.
