You can hear the hub-bub as you open the door to the Lea Café and there’s a warm welcome waiting for everyone who pops in.

The Cafe, set up in October, 2017, is run by Gill and Nigel Davis, but is well supported by the people who - without ever being asked - bring along homemade cakes, lay out the book-swap, wash up, and put notices up.  All Lea residents are welcome, and there’s no charge. It takes place on the first Wednesday of every month, 10-12am in Lea Village Hall.

Gill told the Ross Gazette that for the April session, the team are going to open at 9am specifically for the parents and carers who drop off their children at Lea Pre-School, so they can have a coffee and chance to meet up with others and have a chat.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
