Dear Editor,
During a glorious afternoon in Ross town, a gentle stroll in the 31 degree heat, we came across visitor Buddy enjoying a refreshing drink, kindly placed outside by a thoughtful shop manager. Well, the thirst of our canine friends is quenched, yet drinking water is not freely available for visitors and residents.
In our travels elsewhere we have frequently found water taps and fountains for public use, with water points often being indicated on tourist maps. Surely, it would be rather refreshing to offer visitors and residents hydration: a cool drink of freely available water. Can Ross and its Council ponder on this matter, tap into local resources and improve our current situation?
