MADAM, I am disgusted at Herefordshire Council's decision to cancel the black sack service. I fear that it will lead to more fly-tipping and garden fires.

I wonder how much money is being thrown away in producing the Herefordshire Matters magazine? What are people going to do with it? Burn it? Which may cause fires that the Fire And Rescue Service has to deal with. Or will Herefordshire Council have to go around and pick up discarded junk mail.

In the present economic climate every penny counts. At 35p Herefordshire Council should sponsor the Ross Gazette, and stop throwing money down the drain.
