CELEBRATE the first day of spring and help Ross Community Garden. Simply wear your wellies to work on March 20th and agree to make a small donation to the Community Garden.

Tim Shelley suggests that local businesses could promote Wear your Wellie to Work Day among their staff and also ask customers to make a small donation towards the Community Garden.

He suggests that they could even use a wellie as a collecting point. He told the Ross Gazette, “We want people to see the connection between the start of things growing outside and raising money for the garden that supports those who find therapeutic horticulture helpful.”

The garden currently supports 25 people with learning disabilities, mental health illnesses and Dementia. Tim added, “We would love to increase that number and reach out to more people in our local community.”
