Last week The Ross Gazette reported an attempted break-in at the Ross Weather Station, sadly a further attempt was made the following week and more damage was done.
When one of the volunteer weather observers at the Station at 10 o'clock on Wednesday April 14th it was noticed that the compound had been broken in to.
Fortunately no damage was done to the equipment but then last Tuesday, April 20th an identical break-in took place. This was before the report appeared in the Ross Gazette.
This time the delicate and irreplaceable thermometer was stamped on and shattered which involved more hours of repairs.
Both events have been reported to the police who would be grateful for any information on 0300 333 3000.
