Madam, I would be interested to learn if any readers of The Ross Gazette can identify the gentleman pictured on the enclosed postcards. He would appear to be the owner of the stores at Goodrich. I believe the shop is still called Jolly's.
As a child I lived in Pencraig and my mother got her groceries from Jolly's Shop. I still have an interest in the area even though I moved away when my mother died in 1953.
I collect postcards of Pencraig, Goodrich and Ross. I am still hoping to find postcards of my old schools, the Council School in Cantilupe Road and The Grammar School. It is amazing what turns up on ebay so I'm still searching!
