A COUNTY wildlife organisation are appealing for information after a trailer which is 'essential' for conservation work was stolen from one of its 60 nature reserves.
Herefordshire Wildlife Trust reported the theft of the Ifor Williams road tipper 2CBTT from Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum near Hereford.
West Mercia Police said on Wednesday (October 15): "A trailer was reported stolen from Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum overnight last night.
"The trailer is believed to have been stolen between 5pm last night (14 Oct) and 7.30am this morning. Enquiries are ongoing."
A trust spokesperson said jobs like fence repairs, coppicing , sowing wildflower seeds and tree planting may be hit by the lack of the trailer.
"Yesterday, we unfortunately had our trailer stolen. (An Ifor Williams road tipper 2CBTT).
"If you have any information, or spot our trailer in the area, please contact West Mercia police.
"This is an essential piece of kit for us that we use to transport materials to and from our nature reserves when we are carrying out practical conservation tasks with our volunteers.
"The theft will have a big impact on our scheduled conservation work until we are able to replace it."
