Madam, I would like to encourage all Ross residents to take part in the Community Governance Review as the outcome will have a major impact on the future of the town whatever is decided.

It has been requested by both parish councils. I would like to see the two Ross Councils combine for several reasons:

1. As Ross Rural Cllr Julie Tyler said in last week's Ross Gazette one council would be much better value for money and represent the interests of Ross much better

2. It would be fairer for all to be contributing the same amount for the same facilities

3. Developer funding could be spent evenly across the town

In addition I would urge people to request 18 councillors for Ross. The work load is huge and needs to be spread more and the council would have a greater variety of talents. Ross councillors are great value for money as they don't get paid and can only claim incidental expenses if they need to.
