Sue Davies, a local Community and Dementia Support Worker at Crossroads Care, is taking to the skies to raise money for people living with dementia, mental health illnesses and other disabilities.

Sue is aiming to raise £1000 which will go towards running social events, providing people with a valuable opportunity to get out of the house, meet people and make new friends, enhancing their wellbeing and quality of life.

Crossroads Care Forest of Dean and Herefordshire is a charity and not-for-profit care agency who work to support unpaid carers and their families across the Forest of Dean and Herefordshire.

Sue said: “I have taken up the challenge of Wing Walking, facing my fears and stretching my capabilities to raise money for people in our local community.

“Many of these people don’t get the opportunity to get out of the house or socialise, I hope to empower them, help them to reach their goals and have something to look forward to.

“I’m so grateful for the fantastic support I have received. Together we can make a difference, we can show we care.”

Sue will be wing walking at Staverton airport on August 23rd 2017.

Supporting Sue is simple, you can make a donation, host your own fundraising event or share Sue’s efforts on social media.
