WORLD class action took place in Llangrove this weekend as the British Sprint Enduro Championship roared into action with the World Champion among the competitors.
Unlike Motorcross, where racers compete on a track, Sprint Enduro is a test of speed, endurance and reliability based on clearly marked off-road courses. There was local flavour as Gail Lucas of Mercian Dirt Riders helped host and steward the event. Competitors from as far afield as New Zealand, Australia and France were present at this premier event. "An event like this." said Gail talking to the Gazette, "encourages young riders to improve to world level." See the full report in this week's Gazette.
