A NEW generation of musicians gave their first ever concert last week.
The Year Two children at Coalway Infant School near Coleford had picked up their violins for the first time just 10 weeks before.
With tuition from Gloucestershire Music, they were not only able to play their instruments for an audience but also read music.
They started off by using coloured dots to play notes in the correct sequence before moving onto reading a simple score.
