A kitchen fire at a property on Copse Cross Street in the early hours of August 9th, has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old youth from the Ross area on suspicion of arson and intent to endanger life.

The small fire in the kitchen of a multi-occupancy house was extinguished by Ross fire crews using breathing apparatus, CO2 and one hose reel. Two adults were treated at the scene for smoke inhallation. The youth is bailed to appear before magistrates on September 9th.
