A huge £10,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund will enable Tudorville and District Community Centre Youth Group to increase its meeting times from once a fortnight to once a week.

Lisa Perry, the Vice Chair of the Community Centre and Co-ordinator of the Youth Club, told the Ross Gazette that this money will make a huge difference to the youth club. She said: “We will not have to keep making do, but will be able to expand and develop the great activities we offer the children of Tudorville and beyond.”

However, the grant has left the Club with one big problem. Called the Friday Fortnite Club, it is now looking for a new name which shows that it meets weekly. The club will still be run by volunteers and offer a wide range of fun activities but Lisa said it will now be even better as it will take place every week.

Everyone is welcome at the Club. You do not have to live in Tudorville to be able to attend, and it is open to youngsters age seven up between 6pm and 7.30pm. Lisa explained that they organise a variety of activities including Fit Active Children or Wildplay, as well as cooking, trips and outdoor activities.
