ROSS Allsorts matched up to Habs 2 in their recent encounter in the Wye Valley Netball League.
The young Monmouth School girls are always quick to start the scoring and were soon 3-0 up. However, Allsorts soon took command with calm, steady passing of the ball and finished the first quarter 5-4 in front.
Allsorts have injury problems at the moment, so Chloe White showed her versatility by switching from centre to play goal keeper. Regular keeper, Rachel Lea, moved up to goal defence and they worked well together, making it very difficult for the Habs shooters.
Accuate shooting by goal attack Dawn Bedly soon saw Allsorts take firm control and were ahead by 13-7 at halftime.
After the break, Chloe moved back to centre and Rachel to goal keeper. Nikki Raine came on as goal defence and with some spectacular leaps to intercept the ball, she helped the team to move further ahead.
Allsorts won 27-18. Nikki Raine was voted player of the match by the umpires.
