The South Hereford & Ross Harriers ran a biathlon, triathlon and tetrathlon on September 21st and 22nd, with the shoot and swim held at Cinderford Leisure Centre and the ride and run at Caradoc River Meadows. This was with the kind permission of Major Patrick Darling and Mrs Dido Darling.

As well as a large entry of South Hereford & Ross Harriers’ own members, competitors travelled from the Berkeley South, Beaufort, Cotswold Vale, Curre, Ledbury, Ludlow, North Hereford, Playmates PC Centre, Vale of White Horse and Worcestershire clubs.

Medals were awarded for best bean bag shoot for the under 8s, best shoot, best swim and best run, as well as overall placings in a number of classes.

A spokesperson for the club said: “The South Hereford & Ross Harriers Pony Club were incredibly lucky to have the support from a huge number of volunteers who gave up their time to help this event run, and also a large number of individuals and companies who very kindly sponsored classes, to ensure that all achievements were recognised in style.See the full story in this week’s edition of the Ross Gazette, or subscribe to our online edition here
