A Ross-on-Wye ladies team, consisting of Kate Williams, Teresa Williams, Elaine George and Mary Gardner competed at the National Bowls Championships at Leamington Spa on Tuesday, August 9th.

Unfortunately, they lost to the Suffolk A team in the first round. Kate had already competed in the Junior Singles over the previous weekend and had won the first of her games, but lost in the second round.

Three of the ladies from the rink, Kate, Teresa and Mary, will be competing again at the National Championships next week in the Triples competition. By then Kate will also have competed in the Junior Pairs, along with Megan Thompson over the previous weekend.
