Ross Rowing Club was competing at full tilt this weekend with crews at Stratford Regatta on Saturday, Marlow Town Regatta on Sunday and a special 60th Anniversary Coronation Regatta at Windsor Castle on Sunday as well.
To top the Club's weekend of achievemnts, Nick Burden and Will Gladstone won a Coronation medal which was presented by Sir Steve Redgrave and specially minted with the Queen's emblem.
On Saturday, a contingent from the Junior and Masters squads took part in what can only be described as a calamitous Stratford Regatta. With over 300 entries, when it normally hosts 120, it was a test of patience for all concerned to complete the days racing.
Highlights from the busy programme were the Women's Junior J13 double scull Emily Morris and Gabby Howell, who worked through two rounds only to be beaten in a close final by Worcester. The Wj13 quad of Emily Morris, Zoe Westley Indigo Officer and Paige Howe, coxed by Daisy Phillips, rowed well in their semi final and were then beaten by a strong Llandaff crew.
