ASTON Ingham Cricket Club's women's team recently collected the trophy for winning the 2025 season’s Gloucestershire Division 2 100 Cup at the annual county Cricket Foundation awards night.
And the team are now looking to welcome new members, posting: "No matter the experience and no matter the ability, what matters is the team you play with.
"Whether accomplished or new to the game, looking for competitive matches or just to train come and be part of our winning women's squad.
"With a focus on camaraderie and fun, fitness and skills development, we offer softball and hardball with weekly training from mid January onwards.
"You can commit as frequently or infrequently as you wish; we know lots of women are really busy and respect that, which is why our flexible approach ensures you are welcomed whenever you play.
"Friendlies, league and inter-club matches... we always end with a debrief in the bar afterwards ensuring that as well fun on the cricket field, we have a lot of fun and social on the sidelines too!"
If you're interested, have any questions, want to know more or simply want to join, contact Ladies Captain Lizzie Green or Ladies Coach Dave Skyrme via the club's Facebook page.
Meanwhile, club member Melissa Watson has been selected for the University of Bristol’s Women’s Cricket Performance Squad, a group of just six talented players across the university.
Aston Ingham posted: "We look forward to Melissa continuing to play across our senior and women’s teams next year, and wish her every success."
Meanwhile, the Gloucestershire Cricket League AGM has confirmed that the club’s 2nd XI have been promoted to Division 6A for their 50th anniversary year .
The team who finished above them in 2025 were unable to be promoted as their club already has another team in the same division.
