ASTON Ingham Cricket Club gathered at the Chase Hotel in Ross-on-Wye, on Saturday, November 10th, for their annual dinner and presentation evening, rounding off a fantastic season, which saw the 1st XI Champions of Gloucestershire County League Division 3 and the 2nd XI winning Division 1 West of the Cheltenham/Gloucester/Forest League.

Trophy winners included Josh Loade, 1st team Best Batsman, and Tim Dulson, Best Bowler and All Rounder. In the 2nd XI, Tom Parsons won Leading Batsman, and Luke Ward took the All Rounder Award. Andy Gardner took the batting award in 3rd side, with Phil Leighton, Bowler, and Colin Leighton, All Rounder.

Club Captain, Colin Leighton, said: “We also had 15-20 junior players attend again and many won awards for their different skills. Five of the club’s youngsters, Ollie and Toby O’Neill, Lucia Carini, Gus Carini Roberts and Cory Terry have been selected for County Squads, with several also making district squads. They all should be rightly proud of their achievements.”

In 2019, All Stars Cricket will be running for 5-8 year olds, with older junior sides at U9, 11, 13 & 15 age groups. Three league XIs will be fielded on Saturdays again, with Winter Nets starting at the beginning of February, 2019.
