In a shining example of what can be achieved with dedication and coaching, the three leading female players at Ross Cricket Club took the limelight at the end of season Herefordshire County Cricket awards.

Under 13 Chloe Tingle took the County bowling honours for consistently posting outstanding bowling stats. Not only was Chloe the leading wicket taker for the County, her efforts saw her achieve a ranking of the eighth best bowler in the country at the under 13 age group level. This fantastic achievement also earned Chloe the overall County female player of the season award.

Isla Kendall, an under 14, received the County coach’s award for an outstanding season. As the established batting opener, Isla carried her bat against both Wiltshire and Dorset. In addition to this rare achievement her committed, athletic fielding ensured that she won the award.  In 2015 Isla also stepped up into the Ross senior 2nd XI team playing regularly in the Worcester County League.

Also playing a full role with Ross 2nds is her County opening partner, under 15 Lizzie Jeffryes. Lizzie took the County batting crown for free hitting and aggressive stroke play which has seen a consistent flow of runs. Lizzie has recently been selected by Worcestershire County U17s which will see her representing a first class county next season.

All at Ross CC are proud to congratulate the girls on these exceptional achievements, Chloe, Isla and Lizzie are now in full programs of winter training with their respective County teams ahead of the 2016 season.
