On a beaming summer’s afternoon it was Wormelow who took home the points with a seven-wicket victory over Kington. The game was an entertaining one, lasting up until the final over of the allotted 80 in the day.

Kington won the toss and elected to bat, with Hill (15) and Mallalieu (16) providing a solid foundation for the middle-order. One of Wormelow’s three female participants, Harriet Cuthbert, picked up 2-38 in a threatening spell. Tabitha Burt and Amelia Kitson also impressed with their efforts in the field.
