Goodrich ‘D’ie Hards travelled to Mathen, Cradley and Storridge, (MCS) on Thursday, 4th July, to play their ‘C’ team in Division 6 West of the H & W Summer League, on a perfect Summer’s evening.  First pair, Karla and Sue, got off to a great start by winning their first rubber 6-2 / 6-2.  However not to be outdone, second pair Shani and Di, dropped even fewer games, winning their first rubber 6-0 / 6-2. 

Brimming with confidence and eager to play more tennis, again Karla and Sue were victorious taking their second rubber  6-2 / 6-1.  Determined to win in straight sets, Shani and Di were delighted to win the first set 6-2, closely followed by taking the second set 6-3.  After the match the ladies enjoyed a delicious late supper whilst discussing Wimbledon.
