Some of Britain’s leading event riders, including Zara Tindall, are set to compete in the NAF Hartpury International Celebration of Eventing and British Championships, as the prestigious event returns to Gloucestershire this summer.

Now in its third year as the home of the British Eventing Championships following their move from Gatcombe, the event has become one of the UK’s premier fixtures, attracting top combinations from across the country alongside thousands of spectators.

While the action in the dressage, cross-country and showjumping arenas is expected to be a major draw, organisers say the event is also designed to appeal to families looking for a memorable summer day out.

Visitors can explore the bustling trade stands, enjoy a range of food and drink, and head to the dedicated Acorns Play Arena, where children can take part in arts and crafts, hobby horse racing, mini golf and traditional fairground games.

The popular Mini Landers driving experience will also return.

The event takes place between Tuesday, August 11 and Sunday, August 16.

Rosie Scott-Ward, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Hartpury University and Hartpury College, told The Forester: “We’re incredibly proud to be hosting the British Eventing Championships for the third consecutive year.

“The event showcases the very best of equestrian sport, while also providing a fantastic day out for the wider community.

“Whether you’re an equestrian enthusiast, supporting family and friends, or simply looking for something different to enjoy during the summer holidays, there’s something for everyone at Hartpury.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors from across Gloucestershire and beyond.”

With world-class sport, family entertainment and a vibrant atmosphere, organisers are expecting another strong turnout for what has become one of the region's biggest equestrian events. Tickets are on sale now at www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/33734144529
