A full squad of 12 members of Ross Juniors U9s were ready and eager to play Ledbury Tigers away.

Jakson got into the swing of things right away with an early lob from the right wing that forced a save. Some great interplay saw Zach pass to Thomas who set Luca up for the first goal of the match. Jakson, Luca and Zach continue to develop a strong front three, with Zach unlucky not to score on a number of occasions. Yet more passing play with Gabriel, Luca and Zach resulted in Jakson getting the second goal. Charlie, dynamic as ever, kept the momentum of the game going in Ross’ favour. Niall, the fox in the box, got the third goal, with a bizarre in-off the goalie’s head and post.

Ledbury grew in confidence during the second half. There was no way Louis would have saved their first goal, a smash from close range from a killer cross. Gabriel was forced to defend hard but it was Archie in midfield, rushing over to wherever the danger was, hassling their attackers, that kept Ledbury at bay. Dylan pushing up on the right wing, Charlie, just wide from a left foot snap shot.

Fin forced to save a dangerous high ball. Toby stopping a one-on-one attack but Ledbury managed to head their second goal in from close range, in a very cluttered box. Ross kept their winning score though through to the final whistle.
