Hereford FC celebrated a double success last week; on Saturday, February 6th, they progressed into the quarter final of the FA Vase with a 4-1 win at Hartley Wintney, with goals coming from Mustapha Bundu (2), Mike Symons and Joe Tumelty.
The Bulls will now entertain Camberley Town at Edgar Street in the quarter finals on Saturday, February 20th.
Pete Beadle, the club’s manager, said he was pleased with the character of the players who, he said, showed ‘real passion and desire’ during the win.
Earlier that week, on Wednesday, February 3rd, it was announced that The Bulls have been named as the Midland Football League Team of the Month, for the third time this season.
The award is a combined award for December and January, with some sides failing to play a game in December due to the poor weather. The Bulls also won the September and October awards.
The League will present the award at a forthcoming home match. For more news about Hereford FC, visit the club’s website: www.herefordfc.co.uk.
In Herefordshire a lot of matches were cancelled, due to the appalling weather conditions, including Saturday’s match between Ross-on-Wye and Weston under Penyard.
