Saturday saw another disappointing result for the under 15s losing 6:4 to visitors from Stratford upon Avon.

The home team started well with some good attacking play, but against the run of play Stratford took the lead when a shot bounced off a Ross defender and into the net.

Within a minute the scores were level, after Elliott nutmegged a Stratford player and found Kane, who shot and scored.

Stratford are a fast skilful team and only brave defending from Will and Freddie kept the home team in the game. On the half hour Ross goalie, Josh was injured in a tackle and was replaced by Kane. But, before he could settle Stratford scored from a well-taken free kick. Again Ross responded well when Luke scored during a goalmouth scramble, just before the break.

At two-all Ross were holding on, but the game was lost in the first seven minutes of the second half.

As the session started poor defending and bad passing gifted the visitors three goals in quick succession. To their credit Ross didn’t give up and played their way back into the game.

First Owain pulled a goal back and then Pirlo scored a pearler from the edge of the box, his first goal in a Ross Juniors shirt.

The last few minutes saw the Juniors pushing for a win, but Stratford defended well and the gap was too big to close.

Next Saturday is another home game when visitors from Heath Hayes come to the Sports Centre.
