Ross Juniors U12 Gloucester League Girl’s team finished off the season with a highly competitive game against an excellent Walsall Phoenix side recently.

The Ross side came back from 1-0 to win 2-1. A brilliant corner from Bel was decisively finished by Amy, and more great play from Bel was rewarded with a superb, committed finish by Beatrice. There were great debuts for Shannon and Lauren, and Girl of the Game was the brilliant, Kiera.

The end of year awards were followed with Libby winning Parent’s Player, Hannah receiving Player’s Player, Izzy winning Coach’s Player, and the Manager’s Player went to Lara, Millie and Amy.

Millie and Bel also received golden boots for their incredible goal scoring and assists records this season.

A spokesperson for Ross Juniors said: “This season saw the girls invincible in the league, winning the Herefordshire Futsal, West Midlands Futsal and finishing runners up in Nationals, second in the whole country!
