The sessions for the ladies team have been going very well. The Ross Juniors Football Club have been running these sessions since October, and each time there has been a great turnout.

The sessions have seen players with a range of ages and abilites. Some players have played with the Ross Juniors when they were younger, but have just become too old to play in their teams.

Some of the players are mothers of players in the Ross Juniors, and some are just women who enjoy football, and want to play in a friendly team.

The session began with fitness drills, followed by passsing skills, shooting practice and then a game to finish off.

The sessions run fortnightly at John Kyrle High School on the Astroturf, between 6pm and 7.30pm. The next session will be held tonight (Friday, November 20th.) The aim is to train fortnightly and plan an official game and a social event before Christmas. The club is now going to work hard at finding a kit sponsor for the first game.

Anyone interested in joining the team or coming along to train please turn up on November 20th. If you would like more information, or would like to join the team, email: [email protected]
