FOWNHOPE FC have played two games this week picking up a win and a draw away from home. After losing 3-2 on the opening day to Hinton, Fownhope needed to bounce back with some good results. Four points from a possible six this week makes their points total more healthy after a 2-0 win over Westfields and a 3-3 draw with Orleton.

New manager for Fownhope, Phil Jenkins, told the Ross Gazette: “It was a great point earned, from being 3-0 down, the result felt like a win.”

Fownhope now sit in fourth position in the league and play Leominster Town on the weekend.

Phil said: “We are aiming to get as high up the table as possible. “We have a lot of games away from home at the start of the season so we will grab what we can there and we’ll be even stronger in the home games.”
