RUARDEAN Hill Rangers fell to a 2-0 home loss at home to Henbury and Rockleaze on Saturday, leaving them just three points above the Gloucestershire League drop zone.
The visitors took a 47th-minute lead when Harvey Moran’s long-range strike deceived Aaron Underwood in the Hill goal, before he added a second 10 minutes from time, picking up a long ball to lob the stranded keeper.
Lydbrook Athletic welcomed back Daryl Addis after eight years away and battled hard against Gloucestershire Northern Two leaders Smiths Barometrics at their Wyeside ground, before two late goals downed them 2-0.
But Huntley hit a great eight without reply to bundle visitors Soudley out of the JO Roberts Cup, Lee James firing a hat-trick, backed by a Reuben Fishpool brace and goals from Callum Love, James Barton and Marc Matthews.
Mitcheldean 2nds also made it through in the George Sandoe Cup after a penalty shoot-out against Ruardean United.
Sub Damian Jones levelled for the hosts after Josh Street had given the visitors a half-time lead, before they held their nerve to win 4-3 on spot kicks.
United's neighbours Ruardean Hill 2nds also lost 1-0 at Sling in North Gloucestershire 1.
But Rangers' A team got the job done winning 4-2 at home to Whaddon United 3rds in the Gloucestershire Primary Cup, Luke Johnson with a brace and Lee Johnson and Adam Cole also on target.
And Lydbrook A were in seventh heaven at Minchinhampton Rangers Youth, winning 7-0 in the same competition, with Jordan Young blasting a hat-trick, Toby Holden two and Carl Stevens and Charlie Pool one apiece.
