ROSS Juniors U15 won their own boys tournament on Sunday after a thrilling final.

The 15-team tournament sponsored by Billy Russell Cleaning saw a high standard of football with Ross fielding three teams -the U15s, 14s and an all-girls summer team.

The 14s playing a year up held their own and played some great football throughout and the girls competed superbly against all boys teams.

Juniors U15s beat Hanham in the semis to face Frampton Rangers, who beat Brislington on penalties, in the final.

In a close game the result was decided following a superb run by a Juniors player, with the ball slotted home with nearly the last kick of the game to win 1-0 and retain the trophy.

Meanwhile, Ross Junior Colts U15 girls travelled to take part in the Shrewsbury Town Girls Community Cup at the weekend.

Playing 9v9 against some very strong teams from surrounding areas including Port Vale and Shifnal, the competition saw a high standard of football.

Ross Colts came a very respectable third with Port Vale the cup winners.

Also on Sunday the U8 girls’ colts and U12 girls were coached by Leicester City star Connie Scofield.

Connie made the sessions fun, with great drills and games.

The girls are all now very keen to watch Connie play for Leicester City in the WSL next season.

Monday night also saw the U7s enjoy their awards night, with each member of the team awarded a medal for their commitment to the team.
