Football fans in Ross-on-Wye may have been surprised to see struggling Hereford FC appoint a manager with little experience after the departure of Russell Slade this week.
Defender Josh Gowling has been appointed interim manager until the end of the season with the club sitting in 16th place in the Vanarama National League North table.
Gowling takes over from former manager Russell Slade with club chairman Andrew Graham announcing the departure of the former Cardiff City boss on Monday.
Speaking on the club website Graham confirmed Gowling will take charge of first-team affairs whilst the club’s search for a permanent manager gets underway.
Josh Gowling’s first game in charge for Hereford FC is a home against Curzon Ashton on Saturday, January 25th.
