It was a successful half-term for PACES (Professional Activity Coaching Education Services) football camp as over 70 children attended their sessions in Ross-on-Wye.

PACES is a sports coaching company who deliver a high-quality sports education service in primary schools across the country.

Run by director Jamie Pitman the group also host a number of football camps outside of school terms.

The two-day camp which was originally supposed to be held at Ross Sports Centre was forced to change venue to John Kyrle High School following flooding caused by Storm Dennis and staff at Paces would like to thank parents for their patience over the two days.

The Monday session saw 42 children attend, with the Tuesday session seeing 34 take part in what were enjoyable and successful sessions for all involved.

Speaking to the Gazette, Paces coach Tom Mason said: “The camp was very successful and all the kids behaved themselves and had a great time as well as all the coaches.

‘‘We would like to thank Paul Flitney at Ross Juniors FC who has really helped us with the promotion and organisation of the event.

‘‘PACES will continue to offer many events in the Ross-on-Wye area such as our Saturday Morning Club down at Ross Juniors FC, and hope to continue to build our already great relationship with the community here.”
