Ross girls under 10 Colts took part in the Herefordshire Futsal and came away with two wins from two games.

Their first game, versus a very strong Lads club, saw every Ross player start well. Hannah was in goal and made some good saves, and Violet and Hazel were solid in defence.

Eva, Alisha, Amy and Izzy worked hard, defending and going forward, creating chances for each other. Ross won this game 2-0 with goals from Eva and Izzy.

In their second game against Belmont, Ross changed it a little bit with Eva going in goal and Hannah playing out. This didn’t seem a problem for the girls who again played very well, creating chance after chance for each other.

However, they found the Belmont keeper in fine form, and started wondering if the goal was going to come. Alisha, Amy, Izzy and Hannah had shot after shot saved. Two goals then came in quick succession, both being scored by Hannah.

Paul and Carl were very proud of all the girls. They look forward to returning on Sunday, February 7th for part two, knowing a draw in their last group game will see the girls into the semi-finals stage.

The William Bevan girl of the day could not be decided after so many fantastic performances, so it was awarded to all seven girls.
