Ross Juniors Under 11 girls were invited to Worcester University to play West Bromwich Albion U10 PDC girls in a friendly on Wednesday, February 7th.

The PDC centre are just one step down from WBA girls Academy and see a high standard of girls from across the region attend, so this was going to be no easy task despite Ross having an age advantage.

The PDC team was also made up of 5 Ross Junior girls too, a fantastic achievement for the club. Macy, Immy, Romerleigh, Amy and Summer are more often seen in the red and white of Ross than the WBA colours but for this game they were out to beat Ross.

The Ross U11’s girls started brightly and had an impressive first half. It wasn’t all one way traffic despite the 5-0 scoreline to Ross. Bel scored a stunning hatrick and Ava and debut girl Georgie also scored.

The second half was more even but Ross added three more through Millie, Libby and Amy to make it 8-0. Hannah, the Ross goalie, was called into action several times making one exceptional save in particular.

Both sets of girls shook hands at the end after an entertaining game with great skills and technique on show.

Ross U11’s, who play a year up in the Gloucester U12 League, were grateful of a game and will now return to a hectic league programme this week.
