Ross Juniors U12s entertained Ledbury Swifts on Sunday and maintained their recent run of victories with yet another clean sheet.

There wasn’t much separating the two sides early on but Ross took the lead when a corner fell to Ethan, who put it smartly in the top corner.

Ledbury responded well and threatened an equalizer but were denied by some great goal keeping from Roo.

Ledbury kept up the pressure but Ross defended well and eventually managed to snatch a goal against the run of play when Harvey raced through on goal and finished well.

Two nil at half time was not a fair reflection of the first half but the second half was a one sided affair with Roo, in the Ross goal, hardly having to make a save.

Any thoughts of a Ledbury comeback were soon extinguished when Aaron got himself on the score sheet with a well taken goal against his old team for the second time this season.

Jake H was in superb form up front for Ross, his two great defence-splitting passes allowed Harvey to complete a hat-trick and then Harvey grabbed his fourth goal, thanks to a good ball from Jayden.

All the boys played brilliantly in this 6 – 0 win which, in the end, was well deserved.

With four well-taken goals and great positive attitude, the Saltrock Scaffolding Man of the Match award went to Harvey Briscoe.
