On a fine sunny morning Ross Juniors U9s entertained Ledbury Tigers at home.

Ross started brightly with some fine play and great team spirit following their semi final win the previous week. It wasn’t long until Ross scored with a trademark long range strike from Luca. With all the possession Ross then extended their lead with a great strike by the ever improving Zak.

The fine team play continued and with a great team display of passing the ball fell to the hard tackling winger Dylan to score the third just before half time.

The second half continued with a display of great football, with captain Toby, and the ever dependable, Thomas, showing calm when needed with their defensive duties.

It was a quiet game for Finn in goal, but once again when needed he pulled off a fine save to keep Ledbury out. Gabriel was also having a great game at the back clearing his lines with some fine passes.

Nial was once again linking up well with Jakson, who was finding a lot of space in the middle to get the ball moving. This led to him firing in the fourth goal after yet again some great team play.

It wasn’t long before the game was wrapped up with Thomas moving into midfield to make it five and another clean sheet for the team. McDonald’s man of the match award went to Dylan for his impressive display on the wing with some great runs and crosses into the box.
