After a hard fought win last week against Hereford Futsal Kestrels, Ross Juniors Under 9s kept to winning ways with another close match against Pegasus Juniors.

The game was played at full pelt right from the whistle. Both teams were close to scoring on a number of occasions; Dylan just wide from a cut back by Jakson, Archie equally close from a Luca cross and Zac unlucky not to find the net after a great through ball by Charlie.

A lob by Luca forced an instinctive hand save by a Pegasus defender, but Luca duly converted the resulting penalty.

Niall chased down loose balls up front, supported by Toby who made a number of critical intercepts in defence.

Fin was unlucky not to save a shot by Pegasus, but then went on to make a series of brilliant saves, fingertips pushing over the bar, going down low and fast to stop another.

Gabriel and Thomas continued their successful partnership in defence. Zac, rushing into the Pegasus defence, passed to Dylan who smacked the ball in from close range to retake the lead.

Pegasus replied quickly to even the score. A free kick was then awarded to Ross, a long distance from the goal but not long enough as Jakson rifled a pin point accurate shot to assure Ross of the win.

The McDonalds man of the match was awarded to Fin for his heroic and valiant goal keeping.
